Track Out Camp Counselor
Description
Do you enjoy working with children? We are looking for camp counselors who enjoy working in a fast paced environment and helping kids to actively engage in all camp activities. A typical day for a Track Out Camp Counselor could include:
- • 7:30 to 8:00 AM Check In
- • Morning Activities (Trampolines, Ropes Course, Spin Zone)
- • Lunch Break
- • Afternoon Activities (Go-Karts, Laser Tag, Trampolines)
- • Pick up 5:00 to 5:30 PM
Duties & Responsibilities
- • Greets and welcomes parents and children in a warm and friendly manner
- • Maintains a positive attitude while communicating and cooperating with parents to better accommodate the needs of their children
- • Exhibits outstanding customer service by developing positive relationships with kids
- • Resolves child conflicts in a fair and professional manner
- • Quickly responds to parents’ questions, comments and concerns
- • Has FUN!!
Safety:
- • Complies with all company safety rules
- • Uses all required safety devices and personal protection equipment
- • Reports accidents and injuries to supervisor as soon as possible
- • Participates in safety training and safety inspections
- • Suggests methods of preventing hazards to safety committee
- • Immediately report suspicious or inappropriate behaviors or abuse relating to youth
Qualifications
Education:
- • College degree or Early Childhood Education Certificate preferred
Experience:
- • Minimum of one year experience working in a children's program, day care or camp experience
Licenses / Certifications / Registrations:
- • First Aid certification required within the first 60 days of hire
- • Infant/Child and Adult CPR/AED certification required within the first 60 days of hire
- • Early Childhood Education Certificate (preferred)
Other Requirements
Must complete all state or federal requirements prior to first day of directly working with children or within other specified timeframe. Requirements vary by state and may include, but are not limited to:
- • Tuberculosis test
- • All required vaccinations (or signed exemption)
- • Fingerprints taken by a local police department for a background check
- • Background checks required by state specific child care licensing laws in addition to a Galaxy Fun Park background check
- • Continuing education courses for continued employment in working with children
All requirements must be completed at the cost of the applicant, unless prohibited by law.
